Detroit’s Passing
The end came quickly. After living for about 13 years, she had been on a long, slow slope toward death, but the last week and a half saw a precipitous drop in her health.
On her own, she moved outside four days ago and came in only one night to sleep. That next morning, on her way to pee, she fell over and pee’d where she lay. After that she just stayed outside.
This morning she was still alive. We gave her love and ran out. When we came home around noon we found her gone.
The weather was gorgeous.
So passes Detroit: aka, Dee-dee dog: Dee-Moster, Demonstrative, Our First Baby, and protector of her siblings.

Here again is: A Song for a Dog. I used to play this song on my accordion and she loved to sing along with me.
